Carmichael is located midway between Interstate 80 and Highway 50 in the North East suburbs of Sacramento.

The La Sierra Community Center is kept busy with; dances, crab feeds, and town hall meetings as well as personal events. It is host to both the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and The Chautauqua Playhouse, which features a children’s theater as well as a full season of musicals, dramas and comedies.

Many of the San Juan School districts top rated schools are located in Carmichael.

Weekends find families at the Carmichael Little League Complex and soccer fields or picnicking at the many parks along the American River.
